Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research, and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in October 1995 with its Head Office in Pokhara and Programme Coordination Office in Lalitpur. LI-BIRD is in the process of implementing a project entitled ‘Linking Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Nutrition (LANN+)‘ funded jointly by BMZ/German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and Welthungerhilfe (WHH) in Dhading and Salyan districts. The main goal of the project is to enhance food and nutrition security of marginalized and vulnerable households by linking sustainable farming practices and resource management, WASH and nutrition interventions and through multi-sectoral coordination and policy advocacy towards nutrition outcomes at all levels.

Position: Nutrition and WASH Officer (Level 7) based at Project Site Office at Dhading District
Job Summary: Reporting to the Team Leader, MEAL Officer will be responsible for the development and implementation of project’s MEAL strategy and plan to achieve project outputs and outcomes, as well as cross-fertilizing learning generated by the project with key stakeholders. Specific duties include: development of project’s overall M&E framework and plan, establishing baseline, development and management of project M&E database, M&E capacity building of project staff, and supporting the project team in the preparation of knowledge products, including donor reports.
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics or other relevant subjects, with 3 years of relevant work experience.
